With so many typhoons forming lately, if we look back at the past, it really makes you wonder if something abnormal is happening to the Earth, doesn’t it? 🤔
A typhoon is approaching Okinawa Prefecture over the next couple of days 🌀 The main concern right now is Typhoon No. 13, though 💦
There is also a concern that Typhoons No. 14 and No. 15 might be pulled along by Typhoon No. 13 and draw closer to the Japanese archipelago. 🗾

I know all too well how terrifying typhoons can be, so to be honest, I find this one scary, too.
The reason typhoons are frightening is that wind, rain, storm surges, and landslides can all occur simultaneously.
Roofs can be blown off, and trees or signs can topple over, creating a serious danger from flying debris.
Heavy rain: A large amount of rain falls in a short period, potentially causing rivers to overflow and roads to become flooded.
Storm surge: Sea levels rise along the coast, potentially leading to flooding and significant damage.
Sediment-related disasters: There is a risk of landslides or cliff collapses occurring near mountains and cliffs.
Power and water outages: Lifelines may be cut off, leading to several days of inconvenience.
It is particularly dangerous to go outside thinking, “It’s still okay.” Within the storm zone, it can become difficult even to stand or walk.
[To Protect Lives]
Prepare food, drinking water, a flashlight, and a portable battery before the typhoon approaches.
Avoid non-essential outings.
Check weather information and local government evacuation information frequently.
If you sense danger, evacuate to a safe location early.
Since typhoons can cause extensive damage over a wide area—even among natural disasters—”early preparation” is of the utmost importance.
